Early 2018 in Londonderry, NH, Bean Counters was born with a simple belief: your business deserves more than a pile of spreadsheets and a set of often incomprehensible financial statements. It deserves people who care about you and your business enough to explain what those numbers mean.

We started Bean Counters because we saw too many business owners feeling overwhelmed by their finances — buried in paperwork, confused by accounting jargon, or unsure what their numbers were actually telling them.

We wanted to create something different.

Our Values

Ashley

As Executive Assistant and Junior Accountant, Ashley is a key part of keeping BCFS moving behind the scenes. She supports both the leadership team and our clients, keeps the day-to-day accounting moving, and makes sure the team has all the resources they need. Outside of work, she is kept busy by two energetic Australian Shepherds who ensure that her home life is never dull!

Alex

In her dual role as Admin and Staff Accountant, Alex ensures that our numbers and daily workflows stay perfectly aligned. By managing client accounts and optimizing back-office processes, she provides the steadfast precision and dependability BCFS is known for. While Alex is remarkably easygoing, there is one thing she simply doesn't care for: COFFEE. We are keeping her anyway and make sure to have plenty of alternatives like tea and cocoa to keep her happy.

Emma

As Senior Accountant, Emma works closely with clients to keep their finances accurate, organized, and on track. She handles the details behind the numbers while helping ensure our clients have all the information they need. Emma is currently earning her Master’s in Accounting while raising two boys under two, because apparently balancing debits, credits, diapers, and toddlers wasn’t challenging enough!

Clare

As the Accounting Manager, Clare keeps the numbers organized and the day-to-day work running smoothly. She oversees client accounts, supports the team, and helps make sure everything is accurate, timely, and handled with care. Outside of Bean Counters, Clare is kept busy by her three cats—and fueled by an unwavering supply of iced coffee, because apparently even winter isn't cold enough to change her order.

Bethany

Serving as Owner and CEO, Bethany guides BCFS with a commitment to trust, teamwork, and excellence. She defines our strategic path, empowers the staff, and develops deep client bonds based on true listening and attentive care. Although she once hoped to be a person with a library of quirky fun facts about herself, she chose the path of an accountant instead.
